British Steel and Sembcorp to address Tees Valley
Senior figures from British Steel and Sembcorp will be the keynote speakers at the Tees Engineering Network (TEN) event.
The free event will take place on Friday 3 February 2017 starting at 8am at the Redcar Heart. Anyone looking to attend must register at www.tees-engineering-network.co.uk Places are limited and initial priority will be given to Tees Valley based engineering companies.
This event follows a string of very successful briefings delivered by the network, including the recent EDF and JDR Cables Hartlepool procurement event that attracted a significant number of delegates.
Dave Budd, Chair of Tees Valley Combined Authority, said: “The TEN events have secured a place in the business community as important networking and information sharing forums.
“As an organisation that is committed to supporting local enterprise and delivering economic growth in the area, it is important that the Combined Authority links closely with the business community and supports events like these.
“With speakers from two prominent businesses confirmed, it is shaping up to be another successful event that will highlight the opportunities available to firms.”
Jamie Brown, CEO of Francis Brown and founding TEN member, said: “Tees Valley is home to a wide range of businesses, many of which have the capabilities to meet the demands of our local engineering supply chain.
“With the quality of keynote speakers at the event I would recommend any business in the local engineering supply chain to come along.”
Gareth Beese, Strategic Development Director- Construction for British Steel, said: “These events allow us to further share our vision and brief the local engineering supply chain, helping to make them more aware of our business needs.
“We have an extensive pool of businesses in Tees Valley with the appropriate skills and expertise and it is important we engage with events like this to support local procurement.”
