Export Week encourages companies to take up the export challenge
UK Trade & Investment will be holding the 6th Export Week during the week of 10-14 November. Across the week there will be a varied series of events all over the UK, aimed at businesses to either start their export journey or increase their international business.
Previous Export Weeks have seen more than 2,000 companies across the region attend events. This year again, UKTI’s flagship ExploreExport roadshow will be at Newcastle Racecourse, Gosforth on Tuesday 11 November offering local firms pre-bookable, one-to-one meetings with their chosen experts from a choice of 60 countries, as well as a wealth of specially-tailored seminars.
David Coppock, Regional Director for UKTI North East said: “Exports play a key part in the North East economy and it is vital that we encourage more businesses to take up the exporting for growth challenge and benefit from the support available to help them do so.
“There is an unbelievable appetite for British products and services overseas and there has never been a more opportune time to take advantage of these prospects.
“This Export Week there will be experts from more than 60 countries in the North East to help companies ‘explore’ the possibilities of exporting to their countries. Companies attending to meet with experts from all over the world could be saving themselves travelling thousands of miles.
“We are bringing the world to the region and we hope that the expertise and advice available, both at ExploreExport and at our other events during the week, will help businesses on the fast track to exporting success.”
