Investment in leaders helps to drive Waltons Clark

Management at Tees Valley chartered accountants and business advisers Waltons Clark Whitehill are working with a leading business coach to grow the firm

Tuesday 14th October, 2014

Supported by funding secured through the GrowthAccelerator programme, the firm has engaged Ian Kinnery of Team Massive Results, who is one of only three Gazelles coaches in the UK, having undergone extensive training in the US.

The structured 12 month programme directly engages the Directors and the senior leadership team, developing their business strategy to ensure cohesion and growth across the firm.

A significant sum is being invested in the development programme, half of which is from GrowthAccelerator, which is a government-backed service that helps ambitious businesses to grow through coaching, workshops and master classes.

Waltons Clark Whitehill is now an approved provider of GrowthAccelerator support. They are able to work with businesses to assess their needs and then enable them to access funding towards projects which will the business grow.

GrowthAccelerator is a service established to help build thriving, successful companies through harnessing the skills and knowledge of individuals and unlocking capacity for innovation.

Heather O’Driscoll, Managing Director of Hartlepool-based Waltons Clark Whitehill, said: “This is an intensive programme to build our firm through the development of the key individuals who are involved in managing the business to ensure we have continued success.

“Having been through the GrowthAccelerator process ourselves puts us in a unique position as registered providers. We can share our experience with our clients as we also help their businesses to grow and succeed.”

Ian Kinnery said: “The process Waltons Clark Whitehill has chosen to use is innovative, because the leaders have opted to develop themselves in order to grow the business. It is important that those at the forefront of firms understand the importance of self improvement and development, in order to be effective leaders of an organisation.”
